When modding The Can-Am X3  don't risk the chance of the stock primary bolt breaking and allowing the primary clutch to come to separate from the crankshaft.  Odds are if this happens to you it will cause severe damage to the crankshaft, block, clutch and more.

When torquing the primary bolt follow these 5 steps

  1. Torque primary bolt to 110 FT/LB.  Make sure you use the stock Bellville washer.
  2. Heat cycle the motor by driving at moderate speed until operating temperature is reached.
  3. Torque primary bolt to 110 FT/LB 
  4. Heat cycle the motor by driving at moderate speed until operating temperature is reached.
  5. Torque primary bolt to 110 FT/LB
